Nativo Experience is a midday 4×4 excursion along the shore of Lake Argentino. Ideal for the day of arrival or departure, it has an anthropological approach, taking a journey back in time on the passage of man in these lands, rediscovering stories of the first expeditions and daring people who ventured into the unknown.
Between the cliffs and overlooking the Andes Mountains, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expeditionaries with the natives, to later enter the Tehuelche world.
On the shores of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and which today introduce us to its interpretation.
The tour finishes in a cavern, having lunch or dinner. At 11 and 18 begin the pick up from the Hotels. Our first stop is in the shore of Argentino lake where we will receive information regarding geology and glaciology. Our second stop will be at Punta Bonita cliffs from where we will have panoramic views of the lake and the mountains. The third stop is to see the paintings in the caves. Lunch or dinner in the cavern. Return to Calafate. We suggest warm clothing, gloves and cap.
