The 4 x 4 journey consists of an ascent that begins on the eastern slope, overlooking the main body of the Argentino lake, reaching a first natural viewpoint at 450 meters high. The tour continues, overlooking the Boca del Diablo and the Avellaneda Peninsula, until reaching 1030 meters. From the top, the view reaches Mount Fitz Roy (200 km north) and the Macizo de Paine (Chile).
The descent is made by the southern slopes, overlooking the Valle del Centinela, to the base where the Quincho de Campo is located.
HORSE RIDING (from September to April)
Cerro Frías offers a mountain horseback ride, suitable for beginners, that reveals the beauty and calm of the surroundings.
The stable is located a few meters from the Quincho and, from there, the walk begins, which is carried out in a circular way reaching 600 meters. The southern slope of Cerro Frías constitutes an admirable setting, overlooking the Centinela Valley and the Rico Arm of Argentino lake. As you ascend on horseback, the height reveals images of the Argentino lake, El Calafate and Torres del Paine. Throughout the circuit it is possible to come across wild and farm animals.
ZIP LINE (from September to April)
Activity that can be carried out by people from 6 to 60 years old, in good physical conditions. Children from 6 to 9 years old might be accompanied by the guide depending on their physical conditions. Maximum Weight: 110 KG. It is forbidden pregnant women, people suffering from diseases with a risk of functional or organic deterioration during walking, people with motor disabilities and heart problems. This tour is not recommended for people with balance problems, asthma, disabilities, spine, neck or shoulder problems. Cerro Frías reserves the right of admission for security reasons. If someone does not follow the safety instructions indicated by the staff, they can be removed from the tour.
The zip line activity consists of moving along different cable tracks with a system of pulleys. The zip lines are located on the southern slopes of Cerro Frías and cross in a zigzag over a canyon. After providing the necessary mountain equipment to carry out the activity (harnesses, helmets and carabiners), the circuit begins ascending in an all-wheel drive vehicle up to 540 meters. high, where the first platform is located. From there, the descent begins through 5 lines of approximately 500 meters long each, hanging at a maximum height of 100 meters. Once in the quincho, passengers will receive instructions to go then to the platform from where you will begin the tour.
TREKKING (from September to April)
Activity forbidden for people suffering from diseases with a risk of functional or organic deterioration during walking, people with motor disabilities and heart problems. From the quincho, different trails start that are adapted to the needs and abilities of different people. Walking on the southern slope of the mountain, panoramic points are reached that allow views of the Centinela Valley, Argentino lake, Brazo Rico and Torres del Paine. The landscape combines steppe and lenga tree forest that are home to different types of plants and animals ready to be discovered by the keen eye of adventurers.
