WALK WITH PENGUINS

1 Hour

Departure from our office located in front of the tourist pier of the city of Ushuaia aboard our boat towards the southeast to discover Beagle Channel, to our final destination “Estancia Harberton”. Along the way we will make some stops to admire the “birds island” where we can spot a colony of imperial cormorants and other birds such as skua, petrel and albatros; the “marine lions island” where there are two of the south american varieties of ottaries. Once reached the archipiélago “Les Eclaireurs”, we will be able to see the homonymous lighthouse, symbol of Ushuaia, where there are other colonies of imperial cormorants.

We will continue to navigate along the Beagle having a view of Puerto Williams village situated in Chile on Navarino Island. Once we arrive to Harberton we will cross to Martillo Island in small motor boats. We will walk with a local guide, for about and hour, between magellan and papua penguins. Return to the Estancia and time available for lunch (not included) and to visit the local museum. We will go back to Ushuaia city by minibus along the route “J” and the national route number 3, with a stop along the way to photograph the emblematic “flag trees”.
