From the Port of Punta Bandera, 47 km from El Calafate, we start sailing through the North Arm of Lake Argentino. We cross the Boca del Diablo towards the Upsala Channel and to navigate between the large icebergs that emerge from the front of the Upsala Glacier. Then we enter the Spegazzini Channel and moments later
we will have the first view of the Dry Glacier. We continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also see the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers. We prepare to disembark at La Base Spegazzini and begin the visit to the area by walking through the forest path to the Spegazzini Refuge. This 300 metres path has unparalleled views of La Bahía de Los Glaciares, on its way we can enjoy thematic stations and viewpoints.

In the refuge we can have lunch, visit the shop or admire the landscape. Those who like to walk can take the mountain path. This route is a médium difficulty trek through a wooded path with natural viewpoints. 

SPEGAZZINI BASE 

This iconic landing point has two trails designed for visitors to tour the Glacier Bay. The forest path runs for three hundred meters from the landing point to the Spegazzini Refuge. On the hike we will stop at different stations (Glaciology – History – Fauna and Flora) and we will have access to viewpoints. The path is accessible and does not represent complexity since it is done on firm ground. Once in the Refuge, visitors will be able to enjoy the gastronomy, the shop and an incredible panoramic view both from their rooms and from the outside (Deck & Terrace).
